Hey midwest player....lefties like you aren't aware of the REAL truth of why the XL PIPELINE was shut down...you think it's all flowers and peace and for the earth...the truth is Warren buffet and Bill gates are major stock holders in railroads and trucking and now they are sending that oil thru those companies so they can fleece us all more....and now they are polluting 10x more than the pipeline did....look it up..I love bursting ID10Ts bubbles like you...LMAO....you deserve it

Shutting down construction on the Canadian pipeline and the southern border wall was dumbest thing ever. Our southern border is wide open anyone can come into the USA from anywhere on earth just walk in say Hi and you’re in. The pipeline has tons of heavy equipment and people working 1 day and unemployed the next. Finish both projects already funded and good projects for USA. Stopping is just dumb!

Tracker, it looks like you are really trying to stir the pot this time. I once again think you are reading to many conspiracies from the Twilight Zone. Your conspiracies are truly out of this world.

It might surprise you I was not against the XL Pipeline especially since construction was already started when it was halted. However only 1.2 miles of pipeline was built so it wasn't a big deal to stop it.

Of course you got your facts wrong about Warren Buffet. He was actually in favor of the pipeline. I back up my statements with reputable sources. Where are yours. Read this article about the XL Pipeline and you will see how wrong you are once again. (open link then page down for the Buffet pipeline story)

1.2 miles complete!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my A--.I hunted along side of it not more than 20 feet away.I would say more like 120 miles had been completed by that time.
Just stop and think about how many times our MSM put incorrect or even intentionally false info out there for the low intelligence consumer.

Okay, it appears actually 93 miles of pipeline have been built. The 1.2 mile figure is out there. It might be the number of miles built on U.S. soil. with the rest being in Canada. Here are two conflicting sources.

So the point is - the truth is somewhere in the middle, and this has been the case for quite some time. They all have their narrative, its up to YOU the reader to find out where the truth lies (If you care). Our "media" is not what it used to be.

The internet is full of crap. You can find something somewhere to support any argument you may have about anything. It doesn't make it true. As far as pipelines are concerned it is safer and cheaper to move oil by pipelines than rail or truck. If we don't move Canada's oil they will sell it to the Chinese or somebody else and it will still get burnt up and go in to the atmosphere and kill us all anyway. So we might as well make some money off it. The liberal rulers can hold he USA to the highest pollution standards in the world and it will have no effect whatsoever on pollution. It will just cost Americans more money and make the US less competitive than the rest of all the countries that don't follow this Utopian dream of no pollution. China and India are in the middle of huge industrial expansion and will be for another 40 years. Even according to the wonderful Paris Climate Accord China doesn't agree to do anything about curbing their own emissions for decades. The only reason the rest of the world screamed about the US dropping out of the Paris Climate fiasco is they misssed all the money we pumped in to it. It is not and never has been about pollution. It is about money. As most things are. The whole climate change hand wringing stupidity is a waste of time. Instead we should be thinking about how to make the most of climate change. It is going to happen no matter how many speeches are given and however much money gets thrown at it.
Case in point. Where I live in extreme NW MN the climate is warming faster than just about anyplace in the continental US. This is a fact and I don't need the internet to tell me that 40 years ago there was virtually no Corn or Soybeans grown here because the growing season was simply too short. Granted there are new varieties that we didn't have 40 years ago but the average frost dates get further out Every Year. So that is how we deal with Climate Change around here. We adapt. As everyone will end up doing. People aren't going to tip over and die if the temp rises a degree or two. They might have to move or get a different occupation but that is about it. Big deal.

Bravo grub! However "pipelining" Tar Sands gluck is not easy to do in anyway. And there are only a few refineries that can actually refine the stuff into usable products, all located on the gulf. This being due to the the amount of water needed for refining, and the extremely toxic discharge waste/water. To make all of this work, they still have to blend good crude to it also. We consumers in the Mid part of the country, will more than likely pay more for our fuel. This info came from both of the Fuel jobbers I deal with. One a large Coop, the other a independent Jobber. Long story short, we will no longer enjoy the "cheap" fuel from the Gulf region. The Canadian Enviromental laws prohibit the stuff from ever being "refined", anywhere in Canada, period.

Sup Grub,
Driving between Thief River and Bemidji daily I wonder what's sadder; farmers working dry fields when it only rained once in the past 6 weeks or the prices of crops earned once harvested.

It is my fault it is so dry. I just had 250 trees planted. It won't rain all summer. Am thinking of bidding on an obsolete fire truck with a 2500 gallon tank. The farmers here always say they would rather have extreme drought over extreme rainfall. Still too early to worry. It takes months to get this dry but it only takes hours to get wet.

Hope the trees work out, trying on the patience for sure.

We seeded our lawn 8 days ago, watering twice daily and no sprouts..used to seeing sprouts back in Green Bay by now.

Slim would be pleased to see tracked Case mega tractors up here, something I never saw in the Green Bay area..big bucks for sure.
