Your board but how do you justify letting a person have a thread about Krupp's alledged bad gas and not let a guy who get's $2,000 worth of gear get stolen out of a hotel room and the owner does nothing about it and not let him at least tell us or share the name of the place? Please pm me I will never give them a dollar.
I believe I explained in the thread about the gas at Krupp's why it stayed, but the short version of it is because by the time I caught it, it had already been out for a while and some damage had been done. I rode with guys that filled up there the same day at the same pumps and had no problems, so I knew, as well as a small army of folks, I would be able to discredit the notion that it was all the fault of the gas and that is exactly what happened. I have talked to the owners of Krupps about it and they were fine with how things went down. If anything, it turned into a positive thread about Krupps and the owners.
This situation is different in that while I believe the story of the theft 100%, the motel owner has not said to the victim that they are not responsible. The motel owner has just not contacted them yet. Maybe this is because they are avoiding the issue and hope it will just go away, or maybe it is because they are out of town, in the hospital or otherwise not available at the moment. I feel it is wrong to jump to conclusions that the motel owner is being negligent at this point.
If you want to PM the victim and he wants to tell you the motel name and you want to never give them a dollar, that would be a perfect way to handle the issue.
