We arrived into Houghton on Wednesday evening coming from the South. We drove through snow since Eagle River, WI and I was surprised at the amount when we cleared off the truck Thursday morning. Thursday morning, the trail south through Twin Lakes was fantastic and after fuel at Krupp's we took the 13 loop to Greenland. There looked to be a terrible car accident in front of the 4 Seasons gas station as we went by and the highway was backed up for miles. Hope everyone made it out OK. We were the first track down trail 13 and push 8-10" of fresh snow most of the way. Stopped at Pat''s for fuel and lunch at the Pitstop...great as always. We rode the trails back to Houghton and everything was groomed and perfect.
Friday (today) rode trail 17N from Houghton / Hancock north thru Eagles Harbor loop and Brockway Mt...lots of snow and everything was groomed spectacular. After lunch at Lac la Belle we made it back down to Houghton. Thumbs Up to good trails this weekend!
