Ramada is good location , but a bit more expensive. I like the Super 8 on the city trail just east of downtown Houghton. 5-10 minute walk to downtown.
Keweenaw Brewery for Beer (No Food)
Library Bar Brewery & Food
Joey's for good seafood and other options
Mexican Restaurant in Hancock up the hill from Ramada

La Cantina in Hancock has great Mexican food and margaritas.

Ditto on Ramada. A bit high but perfect location and right on the trail.

I will second that! We always try to stop there on our way from Gogebic to Copper Harbor. Great atmosphere also and neat history of the copper mining in the area!

Is that the one that's right along the trail by that old mine that is fenced in standing along the river where the old locomotive is ? and I believe there is a gas station also along the trail around the same area?

Ambassador pizza, the library,La Cantina, the downtowner, KBC, and quincys are all my favorites in the houghton/Hancock/dollar bay. If you make it north bear belly bar and grill in lac la belle is excellent also. Really can’t go wrong with any of the restaurants in the area. I’ve yet to have bad food or a bad experience at any of the places.

I agree with Bob.

I basically live at the Super 8 when I go to the H/H area, big hot tub and rates are in the $109 range mid-week when I ride.
I believe the place was previously the Holiday Inn Express prior to building new on the highway.
Get a room facing the portage and see the ski area at night with the lights on..cool.
Worst part are whoop de doos between the hotel and the trail (IT NEVER GETS GROOMED).

I always hit Joeys too, it is a seafood joint that is good as it gets without being near an ocean.
