With Lake Superior frozen over, now is your once in a lifetime chance. Looks to be about 70 miles, so no problem with gas.

Sure, some many people have done it on a boat, and I would think someone might have done this on a waverunner, but how about sled?

Gotta be on someone's bucket list.

Actually. I think with a little help he could make it.

All he needs to do is sell everything that he can. Take the funds and convert them into 100 dollar bills, stuff them into a container large enough to hold them all. Then just before heading out on his adventure, leave the money to me (it will be spent wisely).

Whatcha think Grant?

All kidding aside, it is not frozen over completely. You would die. And that's not funny. :(

If I give all my hundreds to John, does that mean he gets to pay the DNR fines?

No snowmobile gear, will be wearing an arctic survival suit. Locator beacon comes standard with it.

Pulling the ONSTAR system out of my truck and wiring it into the sled. Half way across want to call in and ask for directions.

Yup, up the portage and to Grand Marais.

Should I pick up a Minnesota sticker/trail pass before I go, or when i get to town? The last 30 miles I would technically be riding in Minnesota since the state line is in the middle of the lake.
