House to Rent

Realize this is a lodging question, but figured I'd put it here to increase my views.

I've got a trip planned Feb 15-19 and now a lot of buddies are wanting to tag along. Right now we've got 5 rooms booked at the Super 8 in Houghton but would much rather find a large house to stay in. I've searched the northwoods directory, VRBO, google and a few other spots but can't find anything. Seems like the places that have openings aren't big enough, don't have all the dates, have enough bedrooms, but not enough beds, or are too far away from where we would like to be. We're looking for 4 bedrooms, and at least 8 beds. Will be at least 9 guys, maybe as many as 12. Would like to be on or real close to the trail and not to far from Houghton/Hancock.

Anyone know of anyplace, have someplace of your own you'd rent, or have an idea where to look?

Try the website "rentwisconsincabins.com". There may be one listed for rent in the area that you desire. I have a friend who has had great success finding cabins that house several people on it.

Well it didn't take long to solve this problem!

Thanks for the suggestions and heres the run down,

jr37, I had called Lac La Belle for the big house and it was booked, also it was a little farther north than we wanted.

Pitch, that was a site I had checked out but nothing seemed to work that was still available.

skeeter2010, I checked it out from your link but its too far south for us this time

chicagosledder, like I said in my original post, I checked the Northwoods Directory. In fact that's the first place I always go, and I always use the links so if they track their traffic they know I came through John's site. You're preaching to the choir on that comment.

The big winner is mosquito! I didn't realize D's had that many beds. After a couple emails and a phone call with Donna we're all set, and getting couldn't be happier.

Thanks again for the suggestions everyone, I knew someone would be able to help me out.
