Well we have had Midwest areas with good snow so 850s with Gen 4 has had some run time. Likes, dislikes positives negatives...What do think?
have over 500 miles on mine now along with 3 others this past week. Pretty wicked trail sled. No belt issues or much dust for how hard I have ridden it. I have never owned a sled that can fly thru the rough stuff this easily. you have to ride one to see for yourself. In box stock form it wasn't much of a race with some AXYS's and 16 800etecs, the farther you go the worse it gets.
It does seem to vibrate quit a bit at idle is about my only complaint at the moment
you don't notice the RAVEs open at high speeds like you could on the 800's
check your track and chain tension as mine had to be adjusted a good amount after about 300 miles
I removed the foam guard inside the clutch guard and drilled a 3 inch hole in plastic on side of guard for better cooling
I have heard of some summit riders blowing belts out west, but also lots with great luck. The cosmoline on clutches and improper belt breakin along with the stock set-up not inductive to great cooling, then some of those guys out west get a sled and go balls to the walls from the get go in 4ft of powder, which is tuff on the belt. Get a shim kit if your clutches are mis aligned or else a floater and you wont be able to get the grin off your face![]()
Anyone hear of chassis issues ??
Some guys on SW are breaking bulkheads.
I have two friends with 850s. They have put a lot of hard miles on in the powder and love the sleds. No problems with the sleds so far. They tell me the power that comes out of the engine is unbelievable and the sled is a lot easier to put up on the edge then the last chassis .

Not a new Axys, BUT....

Good advice.
Too bad I signed in at "Sno-West" in 2015 when I was "chasing snow" as our early season was slow to snow.

Why, so you can sell it by Feb 1, 2018?I get a new sled annually and just sold my snow-checked 850 Renegade ADR, never had one problem.
Gas mileage when I sold it yesterday with 1,090 miles was 17.5 consistently once out of break-in mode, oil consumption went down to about 340 miles to a tank of oil; all this while riding at a fun brisk pace.
I plan to order another one in March as it is fast, handles nicely and the fit and finish is the best available.
My only wish is that Ski-Doo gets me my 2018 sled by December 1, 2017.
