Someone mentioned it on trailconditions.com back in 2000 and I have been here ever since. Haven't been back to trailconditions.com since then. Got tired of Loudhandle. I've been here several times a day since then. My wife thinks I have a secret friend named John Dee that she has never met. Seriously.

My addiction started when a friend began attending MTU in 2002 and shared the site with me. I've been a daily visitor since then and even more now since I finally registered this spring and can also access the site through my Blackberry.

I'm not only thankful for JDee himself, but also for the posters on the site. I'm sure we can all admit to learning a thing or two from eachother's insite throughout the years.

A friend asked me to go on a sled trip to Caddy with him. He gave me a website to check conditions on which was shut down two weeks after I starts looking at it. Can remember the name, it was like; Dan's Sledding page Maybe Stan, I don't know but that led me to the fishweb which let me to here, some how. That was back in the 99-2000 season. I bought my sled the next fall and was then checking John's reports daily. Took me a few years to sign up but I was around.

By the way Thanks John!

lofsfire, was it Jeffs web page? That was big before JD. I think Jeffs page directed me to JD site when Jeff who worked for a College was running a snowmobile site that grew way bigger than he had time to mess with, sent us off to John Dee site. John am I correct?

Like many, came across the link while viewing snow & trail conditions and have been hooked ever since. Took me awhile to be a participator, I enjoyed just sitting back and watching.
My wife can't understand why I have to be on the computor every night. She thinks I'm looking at porn. Now I also sneak it at work. I think it's better she believes I'm spending all this time looking at porn than a snowmobiling website. Don't get me wrong, she enjoys the sport logging at least 2000 miles a year and has owned her own sled since '91, but too spend so much time thinking (reliving) about it.
And thanks to nash, my computor grammer has improved.

I too am a JohnDee-o-holic Adam.

Co worker told me about it when I was selling a sled. Have not gone more than 2 days without checking since!

polarisrider1 ~ Jeff's may have been the name of the site. If I remember right it was just a list of places on a light blue background and I think it had an effect to make it look like it was snowing. Now that I think about it I think Stan was the name of the guy I rented the sled form in Caddy. It was a place called Norther Brass in Mesick.

Friend told me about it in 2002, don't do many post, but enjoy looking at the cams and reading what others have to say about the great sport of snowmobiling.

All my friends from Illinois to Wisc to The Yoop were talking about it, so i finally thought I would check it out about a year ago. I don't post alot on here but am religously checking the site (especially the cams) during the winter months, that's for sure.

I have the same story as COLDONE She said I was the first guy she ever met at the bar, she was such a liar.

Was at a bar & picked this chic up & ended up at her cabin for a few drinks. One thing led to another! During all of this I noticed she had a John Dee .com tatoo on her lower back! I'll never forget that moment! What a site!

Swanee told me about it back in 2000. It's been my home page now for over 9 years. My computer looks wierd if John Dee isn't up in the corner.

I found it through trail cam on keeweenaw.info. I was looking for a place to go snowmobiling in 2004, found Evert's rentals and clicked the links. Three clicks later and here I am.
