I have personally driven about 140 in a 66 pontiac bonneville, fun slowing down with drum brakes, the speedo goes to 120 and the needle went past that and hit the dash and couldn't go any further. It has a very nice 389 big block in it with something like 2.90 gears, not very fast off the line but it sure flies, 3 spd automatic, it will go over 90 in second gear. I have been 160 mph in my buddies car. I am starting to slow down in my old age and I am only 32, to many time crashing and burning. I had all of the fast atv's and dirt bikes, ds 650 fourwheeler, ktm 380 2 stroke bike, and a banshee, I stay with my 4x4 quads now.

93 Camaro (new style) with the factory GM upgrade superchip..It was my car and I was dumb and stupid..I ran it till the fuel was automatically shut off at 143 or 144 I can't quite remember.. All I know is that the front end felt really light, and I was young and stupid where I did this.. Now I consider fast getting to work early.

I did the Richard Petty ride along- 175mph for 3 laps around Joliet Speedway. It was AMAZING! He said one lap down and I had no idea we had gone all the way around already. So disorienting at those speeds. Anyone who thinks nascar isn't a sport should do a ride along. The physical toll that would take on your body- the g forces..... not to mention the mental focus needed just to see where you're going, let alone what 42 other drivers are up to. Crazy.
Driving- I saw the speedo say 115 in my car on the freeway right after I graduated college. That was speedy and scary enough for me. Funny though, I'm disappointed if I can't get triple digits out of my sled. Oh, that reminds me that I've driven my dad's race sled a few times- I think I hit about 120mph on that. For some reason, that was less scary than the 115 in a car w/ seatbelts. Maybe it was the adrenaline rush that made me fearless.

About 120 on a sled (I know their speedos are not accurate). I never owned a car that went very fast, maybe that is a good thing

140 with the top down in a C6 Corvette. The top was down so I couldn’t hear my wife screaming at me to slow down. She was still was able to grab my #$%@!! To get her message across.

About 140/145 on my FZR 600. Although its hard to see the speedo at that speed with your helmet vibrating so much and your concentration on the road.
