Our Snowmobile Club ( The Poniatowski DareDevils ) of North Central Wisconsin recently celebrated our 40th anniversary at our new groomer shed, we invited all our past and present members to come and celebrate with us, and share old pictures and memories what a wonderful time had by all.
It is especially gratifying to my wife and I and our son(JR37)who was only one at the time, to have been there and active thru it all, what great memories we have

I have to brag a little here. hamburgchf is the only original founding member that is still active in the club, 40+ years later. Talk about someone that has see snowmobiling evolve. From establishing trails and grooming with bed springs to the superhighway trails with 150 grand groomers of today, he has seen it. I sometimes wonder how many hours he has volunteered over the course of that time. I know that there are some more people out there that have done the same, but darn few. Proud to call this one, Dad!

Very cool hamburgchf and jr37 and really nice how you have passed it on through the generations. It is great to hear history from snowmobile clubs! The things you have done in 40+ years {{WOW}} the stories, hope you'll tell us a few at the Ride In.

Thanks for sharing!

and I don't know when the clubs we are in started, but I'm going to find out :)

West Central il

35 Years---The Prairie Drifters snowmobile Club of Galesburg Il was form November 1974. My Mother is 83 and went for a ride last winter; there were 4 generations in the group. Mother and I are the last members who have been in the club from the beginning. As a youth the “trail reports” that lasted forever, now I help maintain some of the same trails and help new members understand how to negotiate the tough areas.

Our club (Red River Snowmobile Club) started in Sept. 1968 so it will be 42 years old in a couple of months. It is in East Grand Forks, MN and Grand Forks, ND

How old is your club

This is not an official club but about a dozen of us have been snowmobling together for the past 36 years--17 of those have been in Canada--we usually are at a place for 2 years-sometimes 3 and move on. Wherever we go we spend a week-usually around a thousand miles of great fun! GB.

WOW! I had no idea that there was a club in Wisconsin that old. If that is true, that would call for a celebration.
