My son will be eight months old and I'm looking for peoples opinions about whether it's safe enough to ride him around the yard on the snowmobile
Also wondering if any of you have brought your kids out that young?

Certainly depends on the kid and the parent.

My kids were on the machines since before they were born.

On the other hand, it could be said that some parents should probably not be on the machines....

Had our son on short rides when he was that old, when he was that young he would just fall asleep though. I don't see anything wrong with short rides around the yard at all. My wife rode like she always did when she was 7 months pregnant and he would kick up a storm when we ran trail 13 loop from Greenland to Twin Lakes, she will always remember him doing that. I guess that trail got him excited.

I think it varies from parent to parent and child to child. If you are comfortable with it and your baby/toddler seems happy doing it, why not? I rode when I was 5 months pregnant with him and he rode around the yard with me last season when he was 7 months old (second pic). I took him out yesterday (first pic) at 19 months old and every time we stopped he'd say "more!". Talk about putting a smile on this mama's face :D

i would wait a little while but then when you start playing with them it will be fun.
i posted this somewhere else but.....
I was riding the ole F7 in the fields behind the house yesterday with my 6 yr old son in my lap holding onto the riser, i hit a drift, jumped off it and landed in another drift snow going all over us, we kinda kissed helmets a little and as i pinned it into the field my little guy raises both arms into the air.... normally he gives me the thumb up or down so i stop and ask whats wrong? he says "nothing, i was just yelling WHOOOOHOOOO!!
I guess i know what that hand signal is now..... LOL
thats when it starts to get fun!!!

Had our daughter out at about a 1 1/2yrs. Main thing is make sure they are warm and comfortable. She did about 135 miles one ride at about 2 1/2yrs.
