I haven't been on the website in awhile but I finally came back on, and I'm already psyched for the season to start. Life has been taken up by work and running, but I've made plenty of time to escape to the lakehouse. I petted the sled last week and started her up just to hear the triple pipes. I've been looking pretty hard at colleges and have narrowed it down to University of Minnesota twin cities and University of Wisconsin Madison. Pretty crazy to know where I'm going to school before the snow even starts flying!! I leave a picture behind here because I was lucky enough to take a trip out to Colorado again to train for XC with my team. We stayed in Boulder and Estes Park for a week, and of course it is gorgeous. Hope everyone has a good rest of the summer and pray for BIG SNOW!!

Bought a new truck, lifted it, bought new rims and 33" tires. Pretty much the same thing I've done the past 3 summers lmao

Please tell me that is doesn't have a fruity bow tie on the hood, but I wanna see it anyways. Is it diesel or gas and what have you done to it...

summer has been a real unusual season this year. We had some 90 degree days for about a week and we have had a hard time hitting the mid 70's and sun for a long while now. The cool has been great for work but for family time at the beach not so good. Has been unusual to say the least!

Our summers been the same way until a tornado ripped through our town 2 nights ago. Just got our power back on after not having it for almost 36 hours, many places still without power, my work doesn't have power so this is my 2nd day in a row off. Lots of houses destroyed, the town where I went to school in (6 miles west of mine) REALLY got destroyed big time. We were lucky and didn't have any damage at my house, my neighbor had 2 trees go down, my grandma had a tree just barely miss her house. A church collapsed, 2 roofs blew off apartments, if you had a trampoline you no longer own it, many crushed cars. This is going to take a while to clean up...

That's a nice looking truck - I think those years with the slanted headlights were the best looking for GM trucks (Just my opinion). How do the bigger tires affect ride, mileage, etc.? What year is it?

It's an 05 it has the 5.3 HO The only thing that made the ride worse was the leveling kit. Between the lift and the tires I lost 1.5 mpg, down to 15.5

Those are some pretty sick rims on that truck. That's gotta be hwy mpg because I don't even get that in my V6 sport trac.

I got 18 hwy with the stock 265 tires on my way home with it. I got 17 mix of city/hwy until I put these tires on driving a mix of city and hwy and now am down to 15.5 That is with 3.42 gearing and 5.3 HO all aluminum block flat top pistons, bigger cam, different heads versus the standard LM7 5.3 cast iron block.

Been really fun so far, traded in the 2012 CAN AM Spyder RT Limited for Harley 2013 Anniversary Edition Tri Glide. Loving the road, but looking forward to snow!

Been good here too. Lots of time on the bike. Wife works a lot of wknds so I get a lot of time to hang out with some fellow riders. Her and I have a couple trips planned though, waiting for some fall colors to come. Also doin a lot of Fire training stuff this summer. It's great to have a building donated to your dept to do what you want with. Looking forward to hopping in the groomer though too.

Seems like summer just started. Finally getting hot. Just thought to my self... have not been on JD forever. Non winter is flyng by.

I saw the Farmers Almanac just released this winters guess. Looks like lots of snow for the midwest. Also predicting a big snow storm for the Super Bowl this year in NY. Sure would be cool to see Super Bowl played in snow.

All I know is this year is flying by. Some thing my Grandfather told me back in the day.... The older you get the faster it all flies by. Enjoy life!

Should start a pool for the first real snow. Last year I want to say it was January 20th out this way.

Peace out. Hope non winter is treating all you sledders well.
