we live right on US 45 and it is the road to the snow. We have had a non stop flow of trucks and trailers going by since 6am about one every few minutes. This is the most we have ever seen.
Our guests are hauling up too along with all the others that are staying where the snow melted

It's gonna be packed up there, hope everyone is careful on the trails..

Rodents. They've done more $$$'s of damage to my vehicles than I care to shake a stick at. I guess that's what I get for taking up residence in the middle of rural deer country. True story; I had one cross the trail in front of me and the next one jumped directly over the sled while I was going 30mph (on the Bearskin Trail). When I saw #2, I planted my helmet on the handle bars or it would have picked me off the sled. I still have nightmares about how the hoves/knees dug into my back. (it missed me, but not in my dreams).

I had a similar experience back around 99, I was onthe railroad bed coming from North Twin to Conover and two deers jumped out of nowhere, I was going at least 60, no time to stop just ducked as low as I could go, they both bounced off the hood and went away from the sled, my cousin ran over the one on my left and broke his leg, talk about your heart pounding for a while. I was pulling fur out of the hood and vents all weekend, all that happen to the sled was it partially knocked the windshield, sled was a 96 formula Z.

Kaboolie were leaving the runningbrear to the Ride-in that Saturday morning and just as we pulled out there was a deer that got hit. Was still alive. Sitting on the roadway shoulder. Who knows how many people drove by and did nothing. I called Mike at the runningbrar and he brought me a 30 30 and I put it out of its misery. As I hand the gun back to Mike he says “it’s dead now”

so was anyone headed back home Monday (yesterday) at noon around Wausau? never seen so many cars/semi's/plows on the ditch on the way home. A wind gust sent my trailer sideways on the ice, err i mean interstate, that had me a little on edge...
