I've parked at the Cary Mine BP gas station right on HWY 77 before. Plenty of room there. I asked and they said it was ok and I've seen others parked there before too. I just buy my gas there as a "thanks".
Yes, as stated above, I see many groups parked at the Cary Mine BP, it's a couple miles west of US 51 on HWY 77. I also see people parked in the lot across from Alaska House in downtown Hurley right at the Ironhorse Trailhead.

Was at the in-laws over Xmas and saw trucks/trailers at both spots parked for the day.

is his the gas station just west out of town kinda by the eagle allsports dealer? been by it 100 times, just don't remember the lot being real big
That's the one. About a mile or two from Eagle Allsports I think.
