Hurley to Watersmeet

I asked the same question on the ride board and realized my mistake. How many miles trail wise between Hurley and Watersmeet? And what is the fastest route? Thanks, Chris

We are finally getting snow in Ironwood and Hurley. In fact, its snowing right now.

take the grade right ot of watersmeet to the west probably 100 miles? little less , I THINK TRAIL 2?

Trail 2 the whole way and it is about 75 miles depending on odometer accuracy of the sled.

We were kicking around running from Lando to Hurley tomorrow...according to the map I was looking at yesterday, that run is 68 miles. The fastest way is definately trail 2...head for Wakefield. I was thinking we might take the Wisconsin route and jump on 6 through Presque Isle...

About 75 miles

We are in Lando and have rode that route numerous times. This is the fastest 70/75 miles in the Western Yoop if not the whole UP imo. It's ALL railroad grade and super fast until you get to Wakefield. Then lots of stop signs, roads crossings and speed limits as you go through Wakefield/Bessemer/Ironwood to get to Hurley. We have done that stretch of trail in just over an hour, no stops, right thumb burried.

I did that run last year myself.Started a the Casino went to Lando got on trail 6 to just south of Mercer then to Hurley then 2 back to the Casino.I think it was about 175. Tank and half of gas.
