Husbands Christmas gift (sled lift) - any suggestions?

Hey all. So I purchased a brand new sled lift for my husband for a suprise Christmas gift. I Received it the other day in the mail. I guess I never imagined it was coming fully assembled! It's quite large and will take a little imagination to wrap. Anyways, I ordered it with the wheel kit and I was thinking of taking off a wheel and maybe the extension to the jack and wrap them seperately and have him open them first and see if he figures it out. I plan on hiding the acutal lift until after he opens the first packages or he'll probably guess what it is due to the size. Or I could get a 3/8" or 1/2" socket and wrap that. I know him and he's going to want to weld one onto the end of the shaft so he can be cool and raise and lower it with a drill :). Anyone have any other suggestions or evil ideas (LOL) on what I could do? I'm excited!!! Is it Christmas yet???????????

suggestions? either tell my wife that is a great gift idea, or you could be the next mrs.chadlyt.

I'd take a picutre of it, fold it up real small and put it in a box the size of a ring box, then wrap it.

My wife bought me a sled lift for Christmas one year. I actually teared up a little and havent done that since i was 8 years old and dad bought me my first sling shot! Spent the rest of xmas day in the garage.

I would bet one of his buds will store it for you and come over xmas eve and crank his sled up on it then you send him out the garage to get the casserole you left in the garage because the fridge was to full or something SUPPRIZE

Buy him a matchbox size snowmobile and wrap it up. When he unwraps, let him guess. If he doesn't guess a lift take him to the garage for show-n-tell and if he guesses snowmobile, have video camera ready for when he bolts to the garage and realizes it's just a lift. Don't get me wrong, a snowmo lift is an awesome gift!

Sorry, I'm all about being funny with these kinds of things...

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Ezra has it, but also remove a few panels. Cat women, did you come up with that on your own? If so, you rock.

Only flaw with ezra's plan; what sledhead friend could keep a sled lift a secret from his bud?

What do those things run? Are there some that are better than others? I was kind of thinking about getting one myself.

Their on sale right now with the wheel kit for $300 + tax thru UP North Sports (or $245 w/out wheels). Shipping costs anywhere from $40-$50. I bought mine new on ebay for the exact same product and price out the door. It is made by American Mfg., seemed to be decent... 5,000# jack & 2,000# lift capacity, 2 yr warranty.
