Hwy 51-39

Here's a thought. Keep your speed reasonable and you won't be stopped.
Do you have to drive 85, because your destination might disappear if you don't?
The cops aren't really hiding if they are on overpasses and on ramps. They are out in the open.
If you really believe your Illinois plates make you targets, than slow down.
It's really a no brainer with no need to cry and whine.

I have received speeding tickets before and it was my fault, not the authorities.
So please don't start slaming my thoughts.

They mush have different rules then, county mounties vs. State Boys in Blue. Interesting.

I was going to ask, just for a point of reference, if you got a ticket, how many over the limit were you?

I've been fortunate running below 10 over so far, just curious what you have to be running for them to get you, not what they CAN get you for, but what they actually do get you for.

My neighbor works for the highway patrol. He does most of his patrolling on the I-39 route around Stevens Point. 78+ he pulls you over unless he's busy with another call. No warnings over 83 unless you're having a kid. Don't cry or offer excuses... that is a guaranteed ticket as well. Doesn't matter whether you are out of state of not, he knows who he's stopping half a mile away.

Wow, 78 is pretty generous. And I never thought having a WI plate made much difference.

I get a laugh reading about all the complaining. It says speed LIMIT right on the sign. If you can't follow it then don't bitch when you get pulled over. For the little amount of time you save it's not worth the stress of looking for patrol cars and wondering if you'll get pulled over. Life is too short to worry about something so stupid.
