I-90 Construction - Need Help!!

Can someone tell me what I-90 is like from Schaumburg, IL to Rapid City, SD? I've done some research and it looks like there's not too much contruction in Illinois or Wisconsin. Can someone tell me if that's true? How about Minnesota? That looks like it could be bad.

Me and my hubby are leaving in the morning for S. Dakota. I have only pulled our camper once (last weekend to bring it home). I'm trying to avoid me driving in heavy construction. We're pulling a 33 ft. 5th-wheel and I thought it would be horrible to pull, but it's not! However, because I don't have any experience at all we figure it's best for me to stay away from narrow lanes and a lot of shifting lanes!!

Any help would be appreciated!!! I am getting conflicting information, especially for Minnesota!

Thanks!!

Two weeks ago from about Mauston to Camp Douglas in Wisconsin the highway was down to a single lane, and in Minneosta.. Well, from the bridge over the Mississippi to just about St. Charles Mn. there will be on again off again construction. That's as far as I know what is going on, haven't been any further than Rochester. If it looks bad on I-90 by Mauston hop onto Hwy 16, it actually isn't that bad and at Easter I was passing the cars on the interstate and making better time.

Not much to worry about in MN. The ones you do run across are fairly short and won't slow you down much. I don't recall anything with narrow lanes....plenty of room.

I-90

Both MN and So. Dak have some maintainance "stuff" going on, but I'm sure this time of the year (non Sturgis) it will be minimal back-up. It wasn't that bad for rally week.

From what I heard from those that went to Stugis, it's just regular off and on again road repair.
I'd go that way.
I heard bad reports about S.D. I-90 area last year when we went out to Yellowstone on our Trike.
Never had much of a slow down. Traffic was even moving fast, at 60+ in the zones.

I took I90 out of IL to LaCrosse two weeks ago with no back-ups what-so-ever. There is however a BUMP around the Mauston area that is REAL BAD when towing. There are signs but only at the bump when it's to late to brake. Watch ahead for the signs somewhere north of the Dells and South of the I90-I94 split. I had TV's, stereo and anything that wasn’t bolted down busted up all over the floor. Hope it's been repaired. PZ
