well,,,, new to me. 1969 Merc 250. It's straight and complete all for $100. Looking forward to vintage ride-ins. Gonna have to start an annual event. How do you like the under the seat exhaust, maybe Yamaha copied them,,,he he he. I believe it's 128 hp,,,or maybe it's 18,,,yea, that's it.

Can't pass up a fine piece of machinery like that for $100!?! ;)

We were in Copper Harbor last year when they were having a vintage cruise. Was fun to watch them making the cruise to and from Brockway.

Great idea Skylar! Stretch it, turbo it, 15" riser! Fox Evol's, Boss seat, Dogger, custom made air frames and so on! The Ultimate Bush Wacker! Nice Find!

I bought it for it's complete and straight qualities. Previous owner told me the starter rope only pulls 2/3 of the way out. I have not even opened the hood yet nor plan to till after the 1st. Good chance it could be a main bearing, broken skirt, broken rod, re-coil etc,,,,, probably a main in my opinion. Regardless, it will cruise again, someday! You would definitely want new seals anyways so to tear it down and go through it is in order.

I know, sled was in Columbus Wi sittin in the grass and makes it's way to da UP for it's first night and gets 2" of snow dumped on it. Come on Skiroule, with you SN you need to get back in to a vintage ride if you don't already have one.

Looks like a lawyer's dream sled; rear exit exhaust & fuel tank. You would hate to have a backfire light off the gasoline vapors if the tank got over-filled or sprung a leak... Enjoy the vintage ride!

SWEEEEEET!!!! That thing make my '75 Merc SL440 look modern! Nice find, Lenny!

Maybe I'll be able to get my '69 Olympic(santa sled) going and we have a race!

I have one with a TON of NOS parts to go with it. Needs a little bit of assembly but it's all there. I even have a NOS gas tank (has a few scratches), gas guage, throttle and brake levers, grille (with a flaw), glove box (with a flaw), all kinds of stuff.

I'm in Hartland, MI.

Thanks but I need one trail ready. I don't have the time or the space to do a restoration myself, my garage is full. (And I'm sure my wife would frown if I dragged an old sled though the house down into the basement). ;) But if you ever get it put together and running......

I'm actually thinking more about a 70s Arctic Cat now. I'm more familiar with them, and there is still a lot of them out and still running. Plus I still have all my 70s Arctic Cat jackets. I just need to find one nearby so I dont have to spend all day driving to pick it up. :D

are you gonna sell it, I just pulled the motor out of mine and in the process found some parts that need replacing.

vintage ride

I'm serious about a vintage ride with these things. I'm thinking the first weekend in March, if weather permits. I'm also serious about free lodging for those with vintage sleds. We can ride trail 13 up to twin lakes 36 miles and back down the grade 15 miles home, or a shorter run, whatever you guys thinks best. I don't know whats good because I have never done this before. When were done we can meet at Beer belly Bobs for drinks, chilly or something like that. Maybe even do a $5 per sled fee and donate it to a charity. Could be a great time! We've already got the lodging, bar, trails and date figured out. Now we just need old sleds and people. Can I get a witness??????
