My sled is in garage and I just realized i forgot to summerize it. It has a nearly full tank of gas in it. Skidoo Ace 2011..any suggestions? I usually have someone do it, but my guy/mechanic moved away in spring.

Siphon it out use it in your vehicle it wont hurt it. Then put fresh fuel in it. I do this every year regardless of the summerizing.

Change out the gasoline and see if it'll start, not a full tank, just a couple of gallons of fresh gas. If it runs I would add Startron to the tank to get the stabilizer into the injectors. Next, I'd put the battery on a maintainer, if the batt is dead I'd try charging it. You'll also want an oil and filter change before the next snow season. If you haven't done this before, there are a lot of "how to's" on YouTube. Good luck, I hope she starts!

I'll add in, if ME< I would do a good once over on whole sled, as kinda of the point of summerizing is making sure all is good for the next season and IF anything is found, to repair/replace before snow falls, saving you down time!

so, I'b check bearings on all things, and also change the chain case fluid! and do a basic summerizing NOW, as for fuel, if non ethanol, I would just run it, or as others suggested, drian out what you can and use in a vehicle and add fresh NON ethanol

and add a battery maintainer to this sled , in today day and age, I think every battery on any thing that sits more than a few weeks, Needs one, that or disconnect it, as modern vehicles ALL suck power when parked like never before!

As mentioned, if you used NON-Oxygenated fuel, fire it up and bring it up to full operating temperature, including all coolers. I keep a full tank of fuel all summer long, and start them every 2-3 weeks on low humidity days if possible.

If you can put it on a stand, or even just a 2x4 to roll the track, that is a plus to spin the chain case. No need to run them around the house, LOL!

Then summer maintenance, I'm not as familiar with the Ski-Doo's, but any bearing should be checked, as if you put it away wet, and there was any water in the bearing, they won't look too good by now.

Just start it, its either gonna run fine or not, if not shut it off, if your paranoid siphon 3/4 out and put it in your truck, fill it with fresh gas and stabilizer, It'll be fine.

Twice I took fuel out of my sled and put it in my Mazda Tribute and both times the check engine light came on after. I'll never do that again.

Were these premix sleds? Did you forget to put the gas cap back on the ricer? Cause if it caused a problem in your daily driver it for sure woulda raised heck in your sled!! What kinda garbage gas you running?

just starting sled however does nothing for basic PM's that should be done season to season??
or doesn't help you prevent issue's by inspecting things good after a good bath ! more to keeping a sled running than good fuel and in winterizing motor!
just saying NO bash here!
