I started hoarding 22 ammo about 3 years ago. I have alot of prepper friends getting ready for the end of something?

2 of my friends own gun shops in oakland county and they are still getting shipments of 22 ammo. I have been told at a few of the gun shops everybody lines up when they know the delivery truck is coming. Many of them are also gun dealers inflating prices. Most of my stock has come from estate and garage sales. If we would have seen this coming we could have been rich!

You can get all the 22 you want by me but its about 10cents a bullet right now.
at gander mtn the price foe a box of 20 for a .270 was 20 bucks. Does anyone else know a better price to buy them. Seems to much, a buck a bullet
For .270 that is probably about right depending on what type of bullet from Gander Mtn which is usually a little bit more expensive than other places - you were probably looking at decent hunting round too so that will cost more than a cheap target round (I can buy 223 for $0.31/rd for FMJ target, but for hunting BTHP I spend about $1.20/rd). If you can wait order online bulk and you can get the cost per round down a bit. I use this website http://www.wikiarms.com/ to find decent ammo prices. It also depends how accurate you want to be. Plinking at 25 yards doesn't require a real high quality bullet, but if you are trying to see how well your hold is at 100 yards, you might want to find a higher quality ammo.
As far as finding 22LR on the shelf - good luck, gotta hit the day just right and you will usually pay around $0.12/round at most places when they get it in.
I had been looking for 22s also. Had friends looking. Kept checking back with stores. Finally my dad got some at a small country sporting goods store. $20 for 325 shells. I'm happy with that, but if a few more show up, I won't turn them down. After all of that, it still comes down to being able to rely on my dad.

how about 2 box of 500 longs?How many do you need lenny, coming UP for the open house for Kip.
Cabelas has had 22's almost daily for the past month on their website. Check in the morning and you can normally get a box, new stock normally shows up at 6 or 7am. Gander mountain also has it quite often, not sure what time they release it. I am guessing in the middle of the night sometime since it is normally sold out when I check at 5am.
