Atleast you guys had a good run. Here in SE MN we just haven't seen any color period.... 1 inch here 1 inch there. Nothing but clippers. Would love a good old fashioned dump from a hook style storm...

Sorry to hear some are disappointed, but, the break for us in the Keweenaw has been a real joy. Don't worry, there will be more to come, eventually. We've got a 40"+ base, we can get the freshies later, I need to recover for a bit.-Mezz

I agree the break has been nice and I think I could go another few days to finally catch up, then will be jonesin for more. The last time the big lake had this much ice on it was 2007. Remember what happened in early April of '07? If not, check my journal. The weather gave a living example of Epic. Not saying that is likely to happen this year, but:
1) The lake does not like to stay frozen
2) The forecast looks better for snow starting midweek next week
3) It is very rare for us not to have a few big spring storms and I believe the pattern we have seen the past few months stacks the deck in favor of that.
4) Was it over then the Germans bombed Pear Harbor?!

Thanks for the tease (and clip), John. Heading "somewhere" the w/e of 2/15. Now I can't decide on B. Hills or back up to UP. Decisions, Decisions.
