This morning it was 5 degrees, and for the first time this year, the wisconsin river in tomahawk was froze all the way across...not safe yet by any means...but it is ice guys... ;)

Ya until indian summer hits this weekend..... Man I wish we could just get an old fashioned winter with snow falls measured in feet!!!!!

Spectacle Lake frozen solid last night black ice Sugar Maple more narrow & shallow so also should have ice, North Twin will take a while but usually sled ready buy Xmas. I would not venture out on ice yet with rain Sat & warm up next week. I would stand down for another 10 days or so then check it out for thickness. Dang roller coaster temps.:(

a guy at work said he saw a sled on the ice (along the edge) of Sunday Lake in Wakefield the other day. CRAZY if you ask me. We had -1 there for a short time the other night!!! BRRRR

That is insane, in my opinion!

WI DNR reporting some people ice fishing in southern Bayfield and Sawyer Counties. Of course, still not very safe yet I suppose.
