Any of you guys ever have the TCR race track as a kid. I have been collecting these for years just because. I like the fact you have a jam car that goes around the track at a slower speed. Your controller will run your car and a jam car but like I said the jam car runs slower so you have to change lanes and pass the car. It really is a fun set to race and actually takes some skill. Tyco had a race set that had faster cars but I didn't like that because the slower cars are harder to run.
To date I have about 80 cars, 6 total sets of track and all kinds of parts. You can still get aftermarket tires but cannot find aftermarket pick up shoes

I remember those. I was just moving out of the slot car racing when they came out. Thought that was so cool at the time, but by then I had a license to drive the real car and with Smokey and the Bandit out, I was burning up those back roads as every teenage boy did.

Pretty impressive on your collection now though Lenny. You keep them set up, or just take them out on those long summer nights with nothing else to do?

once or twice a year I set up a track. Always around Christmas time I set one up and the kids love it. I have some of the lighted glow cars, some with actual head lights. Also have a bunch if semi's, a Corvette that zig zags on the track and makes it hard to pass, lots of fun.

Ahhhh the memories. I had a couple as a kid too. I also had the Dukes of Hazzard edition where the cars would jump across the figure 8.

LOL! Used to put oil on the track, hold the car in place and try to "burn rubber" it was fun. Am I the only one that tried that?

I never did put oil and try to smoke the tires but I was always cleaning the track because the dust was hard on the pickup and right away I'd loose traction out of the corners

any of you guys ever get into BMX? I did right after the TCR era. In about 2000 after a 20 year lay-off I started collecting what we call "vintage BXM" and had a good time with it for a good 5 years,,,,,again! Here are some pics of what I was doing. Anybody else, post some pics
