The pro vintage guys are going to race next saturday and sunday in Ironwood....and there is a vintage sled ride, and swap meet, and much more...if you like the old iron (like I do)...come check it out.

Not gonna be able to make it this year, but was there last year. Those races are a blast to watch. Those old sleds get hummin-some get up over 100 mph. Fun to go check out the old stuff-it's amazing how much things have changed through the years. My son is big into sleds (he's only 12 years old, but I think he know more about them than I do), he couldn't believe the difference in the sleds he knows and the ones I grew up riding. Spending the day there last year certainly brought back alot of memories!!

These vintage shows are the best! Every sledder should try to catch at least one. It's like stepping back in time - old sleds everywhere. Made my first trip to Waconia last year and stood at the finish line end to watch the ice drags. I couldn't believe the speeds they were hitting on these old sleds. On ice yet.
