i went out friday afternoon and was first tracks most places. ackerman was open grass lake bridge had a skim coat that would break out under the sled. didnt go south. dinos-93-citgo channel has a shopping cart half froze in the channel. there were some drifts but if you were on the east or west sides there was plenty of snow. will go out thurs night for another check.

ackerman is the channel that goes behind the port of blarney. there used to be a land bridge during the winter for removing the dredging so it would freeze nice. when grass lake bridge wouldn't freeze you could get north that way. I haven't been that way in 3 years now (bad ice no bridge.)

Anybody go down the river to broken oar today? They have radar runs tomorrow I'd like to go to but need to know if the lower river is rideable.

ive had buddies riding all week. the only prob will be geting through johnsburg from the north side. i know from mchenry south is good to go. if you do go, look for a black renegade and an all white mxz together and that will be me.

whos all going to the radar run tomorrow? we will be there by 1030 or 11

I may stop in but by vehicle just to get some two stroke smoke. Was by there today and must have missed any sign, the usually post it, as I did not know it was Sunday.

went to choppers for breakfast. ackerman was frozen but i didn't cross it. looked thin. grass lake channel was frozen over. grass lake bridge was frozen. sleeting now. snow on the lakes were just drifts and bare ice

lots of open water Blade.. Lots of steam this morning going to work.. Both sides of RT12.. You have to know where your going for sure. If you like to skip long distances ,it should be fun! Might freeze up some more. Currents are strong. If you go be careful, Jake

I do not like to skip long distances! Hoping it freezes up more with all this cold. I'll check back in later in the week. Thanks for the update!

We went out last night cattail channel you have to skip on both sides. The safe cut to the east is ok. Never seen it like that. Choppers channel is good. Did not go under grass lake bridge. Any place that has current was open a few days ago. No safe passage between fox and petite on the channel side. Heaves all over
