Whenever I talk to someone about welfare or other subsidies, I always say the same thing: If you desperately need assistance I have no problem with anyone receiving minor, short term help. If you are abusing the system or even happy (laughing, boasting) to be on the system then your a deadbeat. It comes down to personal respect and responsibility. How could you respect yourself knowingly ripping off someone else (society). So boasting or laughing about it really upsets (can't use the word i want) me. We need to streamline and set short terms on this system at the minimum!

Personally I think the best part of Chicago politics is that they think that there is no Illinois besides Chicago. Go an hour away from the city and it is pretty conservative, but somehow the government only focuses on the city for laws and etc.

It is pretty simple the name of the man in control is Madigan. The other obvious reason for this is $$$$$ is mostly from Chicago. Please understand I don't agree with it this way but that unfortunately is the truth. If he gets ousted out of office things will change, but until then it's business as usual no matter who the Governor is. Heck even Rauner has ties to Emmanuel.

Isn't John on the radio with Lauren Cohn? However you spell her name. I listen to them in the morning on the way to work and at work. I like him alot, very passionate and old school.

The only way this is going to get fixed is when it all implodes! I just hope we as a country can come out from it, without having to speak Chinese!

I work in a factory of about 90% ...
Most of the stories are told with smile's !
Here's 1...My girlfriend of 12yrs has 3 kids and all section 8 and link card is provided to her for being employed at walmart making minimal wage...Why this guy works at the factory and is bringing home at least 700.00 p/w...not a bunch of money if your paying all your bills with that check only !..But when your scamming and thieving the system ITS a lot of money in the ghetto !!..and this story is just one of the many I've heard..But since I need my job I can't do what I really feel like doing..Beating him over the head with the pipe in my hand!!!.Peace !!!
