Man, it sure looks like it's only a dream at this point too. The 10 day doesn't show much hope. John.....help.....don't you have a trick or two up your sleeve?

We are praying for a white Christmas also. Hopefully the temps stay down and no rain tomorrow.

Let"s hope mother nature is looking to help us snowlovers this xmas. But that being said, let us all pray for those in Connecticut.

Each Christmas we go sledding with the family at my in laws farm in SW Wi. It sure makes Xmas more enjoyable to see the kids smiles after an afternoon of fun in the snow! I hope we get some soon!

+1 Harski. Our family spends the Holidays at our house for the best chance of having a white Christmas. My son that lives down south married a Florida girl, so its always great to see those two making snowmen.:) Plus I've been working on getting these cleaned up and ready in hopes the grandkids get to ride them on snow this year. I guess I can always put the wheel kit on the Kit Cat like I did last year if I have to.:(

Unfortunately a "Big winter storm" these days is 3 inches of snow. Unlike years ago when a "big winter storm" was 10" or more. Now the weather man gets his undies in a bundle if he can predict 3" of snow. Channel 15 in madison has what they call a "Weather Alert Day". They issue this alert if they "see" something coming a few days in advance. The last snow we had totalled just under 3".......you guessed it, a "Weather Alert Day" was issued a day in advance. LOL.....pitiful I say.

Team, this is some of the fun we have at the in-laws. Looking back at pics we did not have snow for Xmas last year. These photos are a few weeks into the new year. The snow boarder is my nephew to whom seems to have nine lives and is willing to try anything. In this photo he is jumping a little creek at the bottom of the hill. This creek ads a whole new dimension when just sledding down the hill to try and not fall in. My nephew and brother-in-law have been the unlucky ones so far that have fallen in. We'll see who gets dunked this year!

Think Snow! Harski

I agree. Down here in N. Illinois I was noticing in the rain today that my lawn is completely green. Sad since today is the opening of snowmobiling season here. I bought a sled too after sitting out the last two seasons. A frustrating start!

Well, it just might happen. The models on the NWS site are showing heavy snow for Wed and Thur of this week for our area (south/centralWI) .....could it be? Looking forward to John's update Monday afternoon.

I for one hope the low takes a more northern track. 6" of snow on a chiseled plowed field here in Wiscosnin is no fun. LOL. BUT, I just want some cold and snow for EVERYONE!!

Christmas is usually a trip to the north woods (from St. Paul).
Traditionally it is before Christmas, returning home on Christmas Day.
Nearly all my plans include sledding, but most times I have been disappointed.
A recent trip (2004?)to the UP had (Peterson's in Onton) good snow, but the rain started on the morning of the 23rd, by the 25th the UP lost all ridable snow. I had 3 good days.
This year it is Black Bear Resort, (St. Germain) but as of now, I see no reason to drag a trailer. Little St. Germain Lake could still be open. We will come home the 25th, instead of the 26th.

Best of Luck
