chillywilly - im from in between warsaw and plymouth near a town called etna green. Im a farmer live in the country. Actually going to meet 4 of my riding buddies from northwest ohio up in munising during the week. I was going to travel up there with them unless someone wants to go along then we would just leave from here. We go through michigan and cross bridge.

I live in Fishers. We've lost some fellow riders also. Now we usually ride with 2 other guys, although my father in law and his friends also ride so I like to ride with them also. They have a place near Eagle River, WI. If I don't go there, we drive to wherever the snow looks good. We're all going through the young kids stage, but we try to get out one or two trips a year still. Looking forward to riding more when the time is right. Just have to be patient, it's fun having young ones around also! At least that's what I keep telling myself.

Dumb question from a city boy: what do farmers do in the winter?

blwkhwkbob - some farmers still have things to keep them somewhat busy during the winter. year end paperwork and planning for next season crop and all the paperwork that goes along with that. Some farmers have livestock so they have chores to do everyday along with the above mentioned work. If you store your crop on the farm in grain bins you have that to haul to the elevator when you decide too. You have some slow time during the winter for sure but you enjoy it because you are usually very busy during the growing season.
