Glad to see that, you can not have too many tools or toys, I only have limited mech. abilitys, as I can not afford to send it out. I have Matco, Snap on, Cornwell and Sears tools, all perform well. Just got a hot water heating element removal socket. Will use it 2-3 times in my lifetime, but it works as it schould.

Indys' tools

Now look for an engraver (little buzzy type) and mark all of the pieces so when your buddies come over for you to fix their things the tools stay there.(or at least have a chance of returning) Or spray paint them some god awful color so you'll know that they are yours.. Years ago I bought both of my boys a tool set and painted one orange, one lime green. Then when they were left out in the yard I could see them before mowing over them and who left em' out.

Decent tools are always a good investment. I would suggest some socket and wrench racks....makes it real easy to see when something is missing.

Don't tell Indy to paint them!

I got both already. Socket trays and wrench racks. i had to modify the wrench racks since i couldn't find anything i liked, i just wanted the wrenches to lay there. I think Ernst made something i liked but i would've had to order em.

I engraved about 200 sockets and 50 wrenches today. I'm pooped and i'm glad i wore ear muffs. I also put the sled guides in my shed today. Oh and i picked up the garage as it had random stuff from my shed in it. And i mowed the lawn. It's only 2:30 and i feel like taking a nap already. But i'm gonna go take some batting practice quick than i have a game tonight which i most likely pitching in... boy am i rambling on :D

Indy, nice price on the tools. I was just in Sears looking at tools. Not many sets with that many pieces in that price range.

They do have quite a few variations of tool organizers. Go back and check out those. Then go back home and make something. You are one person that I could imagine inventing something that would work.

I have pounded nails into chunks of plywood for socket organizers but i have socket trays for my most used ones and for all that extra stuff, i have socket rails like for my hex bit sockets and torx bit sockets, some 12-point sockets that i don't need because i got the 6 point in the set, etc.

Collecting all the right tools can be a life long experience.

But if you get a good starter set (Like it looks like you did), and take care of them, they will last a lifetime......
