The 1000 sq. ft. eden pure heaters kick out some heat, and are fairly energy efficient. We're selling the crap out of them at Fleet Farm. You can go to your closest Fleet Farm and have them plug in a display model to see if you like it before you buy it. I've had multiple people buy one, come back and buy another because they like them so much. Haven't heard one complaint yet...

All electric heaters are the same. They all put out about 1500 watts of heat because thats the most you can run on a standard wall outlet. I dont know what a killowatt of electricity costs where you live but here its about 15 to 20 cents which means a 1500 watt heater at 20 cents wil cost you 30 cents an hour to run. So if it runs say a third of the day that will cost you $72 a month to run. Gas is about half the price as electric here in the UP. I wouldnt spend $200 dollars on a heater when a $20 one would do just as well.

I don't see these heaters saving any of your heating bills. Gas or electric heat. You may have one room in your house nice and warm, but what about the rest of the house?
I think by turning up your furnace a degree or two, will cost me the same as one of these heaters in a years time.
My 2cents.

Well I bought one...its good for up to 1000square feet. Ive been only turning it on at night and setting it at 75degrees...it goes up to 85 degrees if I want and has a high or low setting. So far its a nice unit.

Some people can turn up their furnace a degree or two but it still won't heat a certain part of their house. We have 2 living rooms in our house. One is more "sun-room" like. It has a 6'x4.5' window, a 7'x4.5' window, and a 6'x6.5' patio door all in a 20'x20' room. The room is very well insulated, and the windows have insulation kits on them also. It's in the back part of our house and receives the most wind/elements. It's always a cold room no matter how hot the rest of our house is. We sometimes have a baseboard heater in here, but most of the time when watching tv you just throw a blanket on so we don't worry about it too much...
