Insurance question

Any recommendations on places for insurance?

Bought a 2013 F800 RR and was surprised with quote...

Progressive $634
Formost $529

Is that high? Seems to me. I'm a 36 year old male with no claims and/ or tickets on my driving record. I had a 2008 F6 SnowPro and it was $157 for the year.

Just looking for a little feedback. Thanks for any info fellas.

I have been shocked at rates when calling around lately... Progressive in (which I am already a customer) went up to $1202/year for a 2016 Switchback 800! I had my 2012 Pro R 600 with them for about 450/year. Not sure why the hike in rates as my truck dropped but sled went way up. They basically told me tough luck when I called to question them.

State farm quoted me 832, unless I combine with truck, then down to 450/yr.

Auto Owners was similar to state farm, but once again...gotta move the truck there as well. Which I will be doing, a slight hike in truck will compensate for that non sense that progressive wanted to hand out! good luck

I have state Farm. 4 sleds and i pay on average $165 per year with a 500 deductible. I think something is wrong with your quotes or there is something on your record you don't know about.

Here is a thread from a couple months ago with a lot of info about the same question. http://forum.johndee.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?51856-Snowmobile-Insurance&highlight=insurance

Wisconsin residents should check out Pekin Insurance (through an independent agent) for everything. Great rates and great servicing. When we had our garage fire the adjuster was there next day and everything was taken care of seamlessly. THAT's when you find out how good or no good an insurance agency is IMO.

We saved a bunch of money! Check 'em out. They don't write Michigan residents. Minnesota...not sure.

American Family here, $260 for full coverage with $500 deductible. 2017 Skidoo Renegade X 1200. Those quotes do sound high, hope you can find some cheaper.

Jim Kelly with Nationwide in Libertyville, IL I paid $400 for three Polaris 600 sled. $250 deductible. Trick is you will have to insure your autos to get the sled rate.

Almost gave Andy Traver a call this morning. Called my current Insurance Company (Auto Owners). Got a 2015 and a 2016 SR Viper added to current auto policy for an additional 481.00 Annual, for both sleds, with 1000.00 deductible. Didn't seem too bad to me, and got it done over the phone. We also have the Homeowners insurance through them. That is Comp and Collision. At the end of the season, I'll drop the Collision and keep the Comp. during storage.
I've found Auto Owners to be pretty competitive, and the service is real good. Had a hail storm claim on my truck. No rate increase.
