I read this article about the Ski-doo V Cat lawsuit. Apparently it was not a total victory for Ski-doo. I noticed for 2023 Ski-doo is offering a 200 this year. I hear in the rumor mill it is a rebranded Cat/Yamaha 200. I guess pretty soon Cat will be making sleds for everyone. Why be number one when you are making sleds for 3 out of the 4 manufacturers?

So your saying that even though they make sleds for 3 out of the 5 brands of of snowmobile they are still nowhere near number 1?

I am saying it is funny how the supposed, base on hear say on this site, the least technologically advanced, behind the times, going out of business line is now making snowmobiles for Ski-doo besides Yamaha. It should make everyone rethink their biases, should it?

Also, Lynx is BRP so it is still 4 manufacturers. Like Moto-ski in the '80's, I would say?

Since you brought it up I agree the procross is old in the tooth. If this is true the OEMs want their color kids sled but don’t care who makes it. Honestly I don’t care I’m so beyond buying kids or 3/4 sleds it’s just not important to me but totally understand the market value of a sled for all ages.

That is because these sleds are least technical and behind the time sleds out there. I get what you are trying to say but it still doesn’t change the fact that Yamaha hasn’t made a snowmobile in years and Cat has not brought much new tech to the table lately. So in reality we have 2 companies bringing so new tech 1 that is still trying to hang on and 1 that is only an engine builder. Could Doo make there own sure but more cost effective to buy them from someone else. So if this is what can keep Cat in the market good for them and maybe they can bring something truly new to the market soon so people have options.

Cat doesn't need a new chassis. They have refined the ProCross over the years rather than just build something new and completely different. Best front end out there and now with evolving rear suspension. No need to introduce something completely different. Doo and Poo largely the same except they are making you sit on them different. Which helps the ride. Average snomobiler nowadays too dumb or lazy to get up on the handlebars so they moved the handlebars ahead. That is about all either of them have done lately. The suspensions themselves are nearly identical to the previous generations.

Yeah, well if what you say is real grub, AC sales for sure don't reflect that, and for many years now.
