Iron County Trails

Heading up a week from today for the first time this year and staying just North of Montreal. I know that area has a few trails that follow roads so any areas to avoid due to plowed road trails or trail closures? Conditions seem like they'll hold with the snow they do have so looking forward to a good trip.

The newer Iron county maps actually show some of the road routes. https://whitethunderriders.files.wordpress.com/2021/12/2022_iron_cnty_snow_trial_map.pdf

I would avoid:
9 south of Upson
9 and 9A South of Bear Chasers and routes around Island Lake
13 south of Montreal

It's not marked, but there is small road run on 13B west of Pine Lake.
Info is spot on, Also a short section of road east of Pine lake as well that is pretty bare. Other than We were just up that way today mainly east of 51 on trails 8 and 8a and they were awesome. Stay away from the bars and towns and you will find great trails.

The trails in blue are always plowed. But what the map doesn't show is that most trails can be plowed for logging, so some trial and error or just asking when you get up there to see what ones are at the time you are there. For example the map shows trail 9 south of upson as blue til Obrien lake, but south of there its red. It's probly 50\50 shot that is plowed too, depending on the year. I wouldn't worry a whole lot its been decent weather they are most likely ridable if need be.
