If you would have used the word "ironic" in your first post, I would have whole heartedly agreed! Big difference between dumb and ironic. I guess it must make you feel better calling people "champs" and such but I won't go there.

Read the title of the thread. I duno why your getting bent out of shape, im not refering to your area or you trails as i don't know anything about them. Dont know your name, so you must be a champ.

catalac,

Im going to be just riding fields and ditches mostly, actually took the sled for a little ride last night around the corn/bean fields, its a little thin, 3-4 more inches tho and it wouldnt be bad. I dont know if northern Illinois trails are open. I may go to the I & M canal if we get enough but prolly mostly just ditch banging tho. There is a radar run in marseilles ill on sunday and im planning on going to that as well.

So where I live in Illinois has about 5-6 inches on the ground currently and they are calling for 3-6 more friday night saturday. That means I will be able to legally ride down here in illinois this weekend but where my cabin is in oneida county wisconsin, they have more snow and trails are closed. Is that not the dumbest thing you've ever heard of. Hopefully this year is the last time thats possible. They can have illinois riding I would much rather be in the northwoods, but i'll take what I can get I guess. My throttle thumb is twitching.

I feel for you guys in Wisconsin that don't get lake effect, if no systems come through, you have nothing to bail you out. This just doesn't happen too often in Michigan.

The big club guys all get bent out of shape if you ever question anything they say or do regardless of your area. Its the company line.....

2013 > Wisconsin 2 or 3 System Storms. MI Zero. We are only a touchdown away.

Make sure the trails are marked in the area you are planning to ride in in Illinois. I know we don't finish marking our trails. My club is talking about marking this Sunday. (I think they missed it and the rest won't get marked. The frost is starting to set in good.)

Ironic is right. I live just north of Indianapolis and we have just barely enough snow to cover the grass. 2 hours south in southern Indiana where hunting camp is we had 6" on the ground last weekend, got 4 inches a couple days ago. If the totals for this Fri/Sat hold up we will get another 6 inches down there. I could go south to ride this weekend. Go figure.
