Is anyone into canoeing?

Such poor sports. Heck you can't control the rain. It's not a canoe trip unless AreoMed. gets involved and you hear the sound of banjos playing. I am in for an adventure!

OMG Booondocker... you must have been the guys we came across on are Poseidon Adventure…LOL sounds like we did the same thing!!! Except I left out 1 detail about our trip, we did it with blow up rafts and tubes we started with 10 floats and ended with 2 :eek:.....we now have a canoe with a chainsaw.

And I’ll remember the moment to this day and so will everyone that was with us on this trip….that spot in the trip where you have to talk everyone into keep going…..that’s a bad bad place.

Adventures are us!! and we know just the place...:D

fnash..The water was red, probably from all the clay, but it did'nt taste like soup! LOL

A Johndee canoe trip would be neat. You all pick the time and place I'll try an adventure.

Nippersink creek is right in your backyard, get in on Keysone RD. Wonder lake and the current will take you all the way to the Fox River if you like. But you can get out on Pioneer RD. or Spring grove. I've done it many times,it's a good time.

Boundary Waters Canoe Area If your up for the drive. No motorized traffic allowed, not even a batt. powered trolling motor. You could go days & see no one... Jakester's has a good idea also, make sure you lock up your truck in wondertucky though!

Check out the canoe club in Illinois google Prairie State Canoe club. I was a member way back when.

Anyway they have trips all over the place and coordinate the shuttle. Lots of fun.
