Is this trip do-able?

Hey y'all, give me your opinions on this idea, please

Night 1 Running Bear
Night 2 Big Bay- any good spots to stay?
Night 3/4 Houghton area
Night 5/6 Bergland
Night 7 Back to the Bear

And home

That assumes Linda wants to stare at my truck and trailer all week!

Sounds pretty doable to me. Not much in lodging options in Big Bay. May want to stay in the Marquette area and pass through Big Bay on your way to Houghton. I think there is a road you can run north on Negaunee or Ishpeming to save some time. We did it years ago from Big Bay south to save time, The road is a number, maybe 501 or 510, something like that. We had a local give us directions and it saved a lot of time and backtracking. Otherwise it sounds like a good week.

I stayed in Big Bay once and we stayed at a really neat old hotel that a movie had been filmed at years ago. Can't remember the name of it.

I would also make one of the nights a stay in Copper Harbor at The Mariner North complete with a massage!

I think it's very doable, the key is get on the trail early in the morning for best trails!

Stayed in Big Bay at that old hotel also. That was a cold place, but they gave you space heaters for your room, and I woke up sweating my butt off. Was kindof a neat place. Pretty cheap too.

Peace of cake, like JR37 said we we did it years ago with much older sleds, you will not even have to ride hard, just get up in the morning early and enjoy the ride.

Just don't try to leave Big Bay, ride to LandOLakes, jump in the trucks, drive 8 hrs. home.
That was a mistake that we made in our planning of the trip. Long day that was!

HA! We're old, Indy! Maybe we need a young buck with a pickup to meet us along the way with clean underwear and cold beer!

Or to tag along , so when you put it in the ditch ( LOL ) the young bucks can help pull you out !
I have been training my kids for years .... just on that 1 procedure ! Now my back is shot , and they have to step up.

Now not saying your a " bad driver " just with the lack of " signage " things are going to happen !

=:)
