Is Trail 3 into Copper closed for the year?

I saw this today on the Keweenaw groomer report
"Trail 3 from Clear Lk Junction to Copper Harbor is closed for logging."
Anyone have any other info. I wanted to take my son up to Brockway this year.

NO!

Just into this coming week. The wet autumn we had really delayed the progress of logging in this area. They were suppose to be out before Thanksgiving, but that did not happen. They are finishing up and we were told the trail will be open by next weekend.
