Northern MN has been getting pounded all afternoon. Took this at about 2 pm - We've picked up at least 6" since then, still snowing and blowing tonight. Have to love an old fashioned snowstorm.

Sounds like its headed for the U.P.

Yesterday, then today at sundown. Still snowing lightly here. Really heavy wet snow started as rain. Should make for a great trail base.

Keep yur shirts handy, boys!

Finnish band called Steve'n'Seagulls?
Toinen joukko hulluja suomalaisia! (Another group of crazy Finns!)

This, then a crazy Finnish guy rides a snowmobile off a cliff?

Snobuilder, olet varmasti pukeutunut suomalaiseen hattueseesi tänään!
(Snobuilder, you're definitely dressed in your Finnish hat today!)

Nice! And good to hear from you bud (UPrider). That there is some funny sheet. Though you shouldn't have any shoreline issues right now, you might want to get your umbrella ready, right now, winds steady at 15mph & gusting. Bat down the hatches folks, Mr. Toads Wild Ride is about to begin.-Mezz

Cold came in earlier than expected up here. Already well below freezing and snowing steadily in Calumet.

I'm at Krupp's Resort and as of 6:00 AM, it's 27 and we have about 2" on the ground and it's snowing and blowing like crazy right now.

:subdued::concern:We've got some serious thunder, lightning & heavy rain hitting us right now.:suspicion::distress:-Mezz
I am hoping the snow will fuse into the wet and make a great base! Please keep us updated on the conditions. Hopefully headed to Krupps Thursday night!

Here in Mohawk, the lights flickered, I thought it was due to inclement weather, so I went outside and looked up and could clearly see it was due to a large solar flare.

Can I see a Solar flare?
Most of the energy of solar flares goes to frequencies outside the visual range and for this reason the majority of the flares are not visible to the naked eye and must be observed with special instruments, like GOES.

It's been a tad on the ugly side as far as weather in general, but, encouraging for snow sports. I am happy to see the activity pick up here not to mention the continued enthusiasm with the Meester Bleezard shout outs. Here is to playing in the snow, no matter how you do it. It's HEERE!!!:welcoming::welcoming:-Mezz
