Hmmm, spacer you say huh? don't remember a spacer, but that would do it. When I put the secondary on, it (jackshaft) comes out to far. I have not lost any washers behind the secondary, could it be that the "floating" rotor on this just wont go back far enough on the shaft itself? & it is stopping the jackshaft from going to the mag side anymore?Should be a spacer behind the top gear. That would pull it towards the chain case. Just a thought.
Negative, old bearing come off in pieces via cut off wheel. I think I messed up the key way on the rotor? So now the shaft wont go far enough inside the chaincase. Little allen heads (that lock it to the shaft) are right on the bearing surface. Pretty sure it's a do over, kids are riding around the old reliable xlt now so they dont care. 10 inches here & still coming down. Hinckley MN.Did you hold the old and new bearing up next to each other?
