update. Made a trip up to Houghton last weekend. Trailer pulls awesome and so much nicer arriving with a clean sled and not a frozen brown cover!

Gas mileage, not so good, about 10.5 mpg each way (about 230 miles each way) Running about 68 to 70mph mostly in 3rd gear, shift to od when I could find some flat stretches, not to often.

I was kind of surprised on gas mileage because in summer I can haul a boat twice as heavy plus load the truck up with camping gear and get almost 12mpg hauling up to Minocqua.

But I guess with more drag and the colder temps that's where the difference comes in. Would be interesting to see what I get if I pulled it during the summer.
Probably could do better pulling in 4th and running about 63 to 65. Oh well I rather get there sooner and have a clean sled then worry about a few mpg. Plus if it r@$ns next week I don't have to pull my sleds back in the garage anymore.
Definitly a big investment but I think its worth it.
