Who is to say what is bad placed. Ticket was $90 if called in. $110 if mailed in. Sure it was a rigged deal. Stop sign on a totally unplowed forest road and 2 guys (DNR ) waiting with baited breath. I did give them an 18 mile run before coming up on a groomer and stopped thought I was going to jail. After blowing a .06 and clean driving record they let me go
With just the ticket.

I must say I'm guilty of the slow (I stress SLOW) rolling stop from time to time also. My favorite has to be the stop sign leading to an abandoned shack or better yet an empty lot. No tracks leading in or out, and the driveway probably never used in years. Hit the trails in the Mercer WI if you want to know the new meaning of stop. There stop actually means park, shut sled off, let engine cool down, slap down an energy bar, start back up and continue on. Anything less is a ticket.

Maybe instead of stop signs they should start putting up those little crosses you see along the highways where somebody got killed. One cross - dangerous intersection. Two crosses - multiple deaths, good idea to stop. Three crosses - not stopping means sure death. A whole new set of hand signals would be required. It would be great.

You can do what you want, but it's hard to argue with a big red stop sign.
