"Don't know if this works till posted to board …"

Oh but you can find out before you post your message!

Just click the Preview Post button at the bottom of the message text window.
Then from the preview you can see what it will look like when posted, and you can test the link from the preview as well. Then you can scroll down and rework your message as necessary and re-do the Preview Post again until you've got it all working as intended, then hit the Submit Reply button, and there ya go.

(P.S.: if you see a GO ADVANCED button at the bottom of the screen, do that first, for somewhat better results.)

See now if I wouldn't have posted it, I wouldn't have gotten that extra info. That (preview post) sounds a lot easier than how I was doing it, saving and editing.
THANKS again Frank

Although, I sometime find it easier to compose a message in say Microsoft Windows' Notepad, and do assorted editing/proofreading/re-editing, etc. until I've got it right; then just copy & paste into the new message window, add links and such, Preview Post, revise (rinse and repeat) then Submit Reply. Particularly for longer messages, that allows me to clean up any typos, fumble-fingering and the like [Ooops!] before posting. 'Tis a bit easier than editing something after it's been posted! []

[Nit picking follows: "alot" is not a word, it's "a lot", and "allot" means something entirely different!
English is a dying language! :p]

one thing you shouldn't do....is change the name or link.....like you did here to learn in 1st sentence....first off that was like 20 years ago on the web....and now it is kicked out of email systems or flagged and is generally considered a VIRUS or link you don't want to click on....so many people and many more younger people wont hover to check link....they wont click on it and just move on....because during that time the hackers used this type of link name change to steal stuff....so now no one clicks on those....the word LEARN actually takes you to...if LEARN and CYCLOPS don't match....its flagged

just let that be if you want people to view it and dump that old school lost art of name change....just an FYI...to do it the way I did above...just copy and paste on own line or with spaces between words in sentence.....if on line by itself like I did....you click enter twice before you paste and after you paste....that way it will LIGHT UP BLUE to click
