I just thought I would say thanks to all of those that helped me with info on my new sled. I thought i would put up some pics of it on here for you.

I paid $4K for the sled and put about $275 more into it. I changed the DD fluid, got a new windshield, new clutch weights for 0-3000ft, 1 new boggy wheel, new oil cap, new slides, and a few other misc items. After fixing the hood and cleaning the crap out of the sled I think it turned out to be a great deal. It runs great & with only 996miles on it, I think it should last me for many seasons to come!

Thanks again everyone who help with all the questions I had.....Bring on the SNOW!!!!

looks nice if you plan on running it in the deep and getting clogged vents it wont hurt to
1 heat tape over the coolant bottle face close to the pipe
2 the 08 up heat shield on the oil bottle
3 08 up heat shield over ecu or at minn heat tape over all those things.
4 keep a eye on the mag side motor mount even if it looks good at a glance look close at both sides they are good for about 2 yrs and when it goes replace with a 06 sno pro race sled mount will last longer and keep the motor more true keeping your clutches better aligned

BTW great cat add on is the goggle bag that mounts on silver plate under hood at top of steering post. foil covered fabric lined nice to have a frost free dry set of goggles or gloves.
also the Holt relocation bracket for the fr skid arm is a nice ad on don't know if they still make it but may get one used if they dont thought everyone already put them on that skid

Thanks Ezra.

I plan on getting the relocation brackets but SLP doesn't sell them anymore and I am trying to find some used ones, that will be my next purchase, or some new rails. I will also look at getting those heat shields. I am sure I will find many more things to do in the future as I haven't even rode this thing yet :( I know I will be adding about 4-6" more rise to the handle bars though!!!!

Ezra, do you mean the heat shield that goes under the headlights??? I cant find there ever being a heat shield over the actual ECU???

no the newer M's have a stock heat shield that goes over fuel rail to just over ecu
look at oil bottle assembly on parts fish it is a all in 1 heat shield #5606-372.
also works good as a holder for a chilly can' I ran a hose clamp around pipe at u bend clamping another hose clamp with the yellow plastic wing nut tightener for clamp from home depot.
10 min of hard riding chilly/spaghettios/ravioli whatever is good to go.A can of chilly on the pipe some take and bake bread sticks in the muff pot good stuff for those munchies.
