Just got some very sad news that Kat from Dear Lodge was killed when she struck a deer on her Motorcycle. Please keep her family and friends in your prayers!
I also read that a man from the Bergland area was killed when he hit a deer while on his motorcycle. It was in the Detroit Free Press a couple of days ago. Of course they had to add that he wasn't wearing a helmet.
Very sad to hear. Kat was genuinely a nice person and made it a joy to visit the Deer Lodge. She was passionate about snowmobiling in Mercer and worked very hard to keep the trails in tact for all of us.
It is unfortunate this game, we call life, ends too early. She will be greatly missed by our group from Illinois and also Mercer trail system , HAPPY TRAILS KAT !
Kat was a true friend of the sport. The Mercer Sno-Goers and snowmobiling in general have lost alot with her passing. Our prayers go out to her and her family. She will be sadly missed.
Kat always had the word on trail conditions and anything else in the Mercer area.
I hope she is resting in peace and condolences go out to her family. She will be missed.
Kat’s Celebration of Life will be Saturday July 21st. Meeting at the Heart at 11:00 leaving for a Gathering at Mercer Veterans Memorial Park, http://mercerveteransmemorialpark.com/ at Noon.
