Here are a couple of shots from the Banana Belt. It has been bordering insane for the past few day's as far as keeping up with snow removal. 7 deg & snowing to beat the band. It is apparent that Aunt Arctic, Uncle LES & Meester Bleezard have made the trip.
Dec 13, 2016 - Keweenaw Blizzard 001.jpg Dec 13, 2016 - Keweenaw Blizzard 002.jpg We have gotten a lot of snow in the past 6 day's with no real end in sight. Lots of bottomless pow. So what do you think now Willh? Not so anxious anymore? Just wait, this is just the beginning.:applause:-Mezz

Just drove back from Houghton.

Wow.

We saw at the very least 9 trucks/cars off the road. Police up and down the road. Zero visibility. We barely managed 10-15mph the entire way once we got past the airport. My wife and I had to roll our windows down just to see the snow banks so we could drive...we couldn't see the road.

Far and away the worst driving conditions I have ever seen.

Loving it.

It's funny to think about how many weather weenies and other winter weather oriented nerds/dorks/geeks are living their dream within 10 miles of each other RIGHT NOW. lol.

I've been in northern Maine for years...spent time in high elevation VT/NH/ME etc...my wife grew up in and around Chardon, Ohio - snowiest part of Ohio....

Nothing compares to this last week up here in the high country of the Keweenaw.

And I saw 40 inches of synoptic snow fall in Fort Kent, Maine on Christmas once...

It wasn't this intense.

And it's almost 0 degrees outside.
