KLIM lifetime Warranty.....

.......isn't worth the paper it's written on. I bought a Yukon Pullover at the Milwaukee snow show in October as a little extra warmth under my Klim snowmobile jacket for riding this winter. When I took it off a couple of weeks ago after a ride, I noticed that the material was fraying on the right sleeve and all down the back of the pullover. I sent it in to Klim and they told me that they would not do anything because it was probably from a back pack rubbing on it. I explained to them that I don't where a back pack and that the only thing that the pullover came in contact with was my jacket. They didn't care and basicaly said "too bad...so sad..we're not going to do anything". So they basicaly called me a liar and are sending me my pullover back in the same condition. I'll be sure to run out a buy more Klim riding gear this fall....NOT!!!!!!!

I have a pair of Klim gloves, I will NEVER buy that stuff again. $115 to have cold hands??? It just does not live up to its cost! Sorry to hear that they suck for sustomer service as well.

In the past I have heard their warranty is hit or miss. There used to be a guy on snowest that worked for them that would help out. Maybe try to find him. I had a warranty claim on gloves from klim and they sent me a new pair.

Motorfist is awesome about that stuff. I bought some used motorfist bibs and they offered to do some alterations on them for me for next to nothing. Totally focused on making sure the product worked for me.

Klim from head to toe. No issues.

Yep, Me too and most of my friends. We have had a couple issues and they took care of them instantly. They even fixed my jacket that I ripped on a bad off for free! OP- sorry you had such a bad experience, have you tried going through the KLIM dealer that sold it to you?

I have had nothing but great customer service with klim. I understand your upset but how does klim know that your coat wasn't rubbing on something else. I know you probably feel that they dont trust you,but how many other people call and say the same thing. The warranty only covers manufacturing defects not wear and tear. That goes for klim or motorfist. You maybe able to get some wear and tear covered if you know someone or work through a dealer, but for the majority you will only get the manufacturing defects covered. Just my two cents.

Question for you jstreh (and everyone else that does the bashing).

What part of the rules of the board about bashing (even businesses) did you not get? Or do you think that you might some how be above the rules?

I'll be waiting for all the intillegent answers from you all....NOT!!!!!!!

I have nothing but Good to say for both lines. I wear a combination of BRP and Klim and have had no issues with either.

To add a little humor here, a couple of years ago my wife gave me a High End pair of Long Johns for Christmas. The first time I put them on I realized that they had No Fly! What the ---- I checked the packaging and yup they were Men's XL. Well how in the heck am I supposed to, you know, when we stop along the trail.... Maybe the guy at the Long John factory got his genders mixed up on the packaging line. I imagine some Homeless Person is warm and toasty today with that pair of LJ's he found at Goodwill.

If we can't convey our experiences, (good or bad), about a product that we have spent good money on, why have the "off topic ramblings"? I was simply stating my particular experience with this company on this particular issue. As you can see by the other postings, they have had great customer service from them. My issue was the fact that they pretty much told me that I was lying to them and I take particular exception to that.

First off, sorry for the tone of my first reply. I had just woken up, was hungry and cranky. Does not make what I did right, but was the reasons for sounding harsh.

The reason I have the rule as it is, is because only one side of the story is given. Without the other side being told, there is no way to verify that things happened as they did. I am not saying you are lying, but perceptions of events can be polar opposite. Also, not to say that you are a plant, but it is common knowledge that popular discussion boards where products are discussed are known to have "plants" in them. They are persons that work for, or are paid by, company "x" to say bad things about company "y". Again, not accusing you of being a plant, but just saying it happens and is one of the reasons why I have the rule. And yes, there could be plants that say good things too. I have actually been approached by one of the gear manufacturers that wanted to do something that was very close to just that and I said no.

Sorry your experience was not what you wanted it to be. If you want to tell your friends, or the world, about your bad experiences, then feel free. Just not on this board.

Thanks.

John, I hope it is not things to come now being owned by Polaris........

I was waiting for this comment to come out! Can't believe it wasn't sooner. More bashing and a ridiculous comment! Think about it, does that mean all the very good comments are due to Polaris owning them too?

Okay...on the flip side, I also own a Klim snowmobile jacket that is the best I've ever owned. That's another reason that I was disappointed with their response.

So no bashing but *** kissing is allowed?

How do we know all of these great recommendations of local businesses are what they really are? How do we know that they weren't paid to come on here and give a great review just to drum up business?
