Everyone has their favorite brand. I personally buy what seems to be the best for my money. I currently use HMK Highmark Pro boots and really like the hardsided protection they give and have no complaints about them keeping me warm and dry in all temps. I wear Klim Klimate bibs and really like them as even in deep deep powder out west they keep me dry all day long. Even in cold temps I just wear fleece pants under the bibs and have no problems with staying warm. The only thing I will change in my clothes is that my jacket is an off brand (it says Venom on the back and I bought it new at Haydays) that is too warm. I was wearing it out west this year and the temps were mid 20's and between my fleece sweater, bibs, B-wear vest and jacket I was too warm all day. I would recommend a light waterproof shell and more layers for aggressive or western riding. That being said I haven't decided between an HMK Outlaw Jacket or Klim Tomohawk parka - its still a toss-up to be decided next fall when I buy another piece of gear for the arsenal.

KLIM hands down.. I've tried many brands over the last 20 yrs and will never wear anything else as long as I have a choice...

Klim items I have:
Face Mask
Everest Jacket
Vladez Parka
Bibs
Boots(can't remember the name)
Togwotee gloves
socks

And maybe a F4 helmet later this yr.

Bibs...anyone use HMK Voyagers or Arctiva? I dont get to ride enough to justify buying Klim, those seem to be half the price.

Klim. Buying it all piece by piece. Had to buy new outer shell because I got fat. Allow for this if YOU plan to get fat.

I have had 2 pair of HMK boots. Nice boots, but my feet would get wet. They don't breathe. They are also NOT waterproof! Water resistant, yes. If I went offtrailing my feet would be soaked. Partly from sweat and leaking water in. I got tired of it and bought the Klim Adrenaline boots and love them. They breathe and are 100% waterproof! No more wet cold feet!!

My wife had the HMK's also and bought the Klim's this year and after using the Klim's for 5 days she sold her HMK's.

Klim all the way

I switched over to Klim two seasons ago and never looked back. I had a pair of HMK boots and they lasted about 6 rides and I have had my Klim boots for two seasons and not one problem. In my opinon you can't compare the two, Klim is better made.
