Krupps question

OK, not to be ignorant...this will be a really simple question for everyone to answer...

Can ya actually sit down and eat at Krupps or is it carry out only? I always thought it was carry out only... if it is, what kind of packaging to take back on a sled?

Husband has never had a Pasty he liked (I can hear ya'll gasping) so am sending him to Krupps his next ride.

Thanks,

wtg

Da Best there is.

Krupps make the best pasties in the world. Great place to get warm and exchange pleasantries!

There are a couple of tables you can sit at inside Krupp's Mini Mart.

 Has never had a Pasty??? OMG, What is he waiting for? Get him up there right away. They also have Italian specials that are great. We stay at Krupp's resort so generally take the order back to the cabin, but have sat in the mart to eat and visit with the owners. Your husband will enjoy for sure.

Thanks!

I'm sending him that way this weekend! I'll have to tell him to save some room on his sled to pick me up some frozens! I've been following the thread about "the best pasties" and Krupps is always right up there and is a nice lunch stop for a ride from White Pine.

Thanks, all!

And John Dee, good luck with your ride in this weekend and to all who are going. What an awesome thing it is that you do...can't imagine the organization of that along with everything else that you do!

and FusionFool - never had a pasty he LIKED!! Have stopped at some mom and pop stops and he always has some complaint -not enough meat, outter pie to dry, etc... think he has it in his head now it's something he just doesn't like (gasp!) If he doesn't like Krupps's, then there's just no redeeming him!! ;)

What kind of gravy, willey?
Have heard of people putting ketchup on them...

When I get them home usually put some cheese on them because I'll put cheese on anything I can?!?

If ya'll wanna start some trouble, go to the sea and snow, bears/packers or Kilt threads?!?! LOL

I'll eat ketchup but it isn't my favorite so I wouldn't go that route. I like the sour cream idea!!

Best pasty i had was a ham/cheese/potato...I took that bad boy home and put some colby jack cheese on it and an over easy egg! Is that corrupting a pasty TOO much?

Art can have a chat with the folks at Krupps - I'll let HIM explain that he's never had a good pasty experience and I'm sure those fine folks there will take care of him.

srt20 - one of my friends found out she couldn't eat dairy anymore...I asked what about cheese...about 15 times. If ya took cheese outta my diet there wouldn't be a whole lot left!!

Thanks for all the input!

as for gravy thats how we eat them, we put beef gravy on them, gravy changes many peoples dislikes about pasties. Krupps will show you husband just tell him to say yes when they ask if he wants gravy lol

Ewww! Okay, game on!

Ya wanna see some really different pasties? Try the Cornish Pasty Co. of Tempe & Mesa, AZ. Click on the Menu link, and once there be sure to click on the links for Go To Premium Pasties or the Printable To Go Menu (PDF format). Being a purist, I hafta say that while summa dem are quite yummy, they ain't pasties! :D

Thanks, Mrs Bear! I'll make sure he tells them GRAVY, please!

Not sure why I'm so insistent that he likes them...It's so un-Yooper-American to NOT like em!

The real question I have for Pastys, is will they fit in a hotdogger/muffpot so they can be warmed on the sled and eaten on the trail?
