Any riders heading to Cable this weekend for the hot dog roast at Lakewoods Resort? I decided to try it our this year and, as the forecast looks now, might be the last weekend for riding in that area for the year.

Might try to head up saturday to, have a buddy lives in hayward to go ridding with sunday monday.
Just trying to get some ridding in before its bye bye snow.
I might stay on nam sat then go in to hayward sunday, soloing it as of now.[/QUOTE]
if I go I will be staying in clam lake more or less 1st street on gg after sharp turn out of town.
I have been up the past few week except last . the further east u go the better. we headed in the direction of melon last time it was good. for the roast the trail can get pretty bat around the lake but the further out u get the better.IMHO Ashland county does a better job of keeping the trail up than Bayfiled county.
but like I said the further east u go the better

We're going up for the first time, taking the old iron for this one and leaving the new dews home. Keep your eyes open for Elbert, most likely the only 1980 ski-doo elite pulling a ski-boose in the radar run.

was a real good weekend still found a lot of fresh but the fat lady is screaming. the few trails trails we saw today were bad news. Saturdays cloud cover was the only thing that saved Sundays ride.
only hit the lake fri night . the night races were cool bars were full but avoided the area like the plague for the rest of the trip.

We had a ball, Elbert ran like a top and fun at every stop. I've logged 1300+ miles in Michigan this winter on the BCX, the 21 miles in Elbert Saturday wins hands down!
